In an ever more globalised world, how are changing identities influencing the world of conflict? PS21 pulls together a uniquely qualified panel with experience ranging from deep academia to the battlefields of Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Sudan.

Mary Kaldor – Professor of Global Governance, London school of Economics. Author of “Old and New Wars”

Theo Farrell – Dean of Arts and Social Sciences at City, University of London and former Head of the Department of War Studies at King’s College London.

Patrick BuryFormer British Army officer, PS21 Global Fellow, Lecturer in Security Sector management at UK Defence Academy and author of “Callsign Hades”, an account of of his company’s tour in Sangin, Afghanistan.

Ziya Meral – Turkey, religion and security researcher; Resident Fellow at the British Army’s new ‘Centre for Historical Analysis and Conflict Research’ and founding director of the Centre on Religion and Global Affairs.
