London Event April 10 – ‘Imagining Power in 2030’

Tuesday, April 10, 2018. 6pm onwards at Juju’s Bar and Stage, Hanbury Street, Brick Lane, London.

What will political power look like by the year 2030? PS21 pulls together a wide-ranking panel with experience from around the world to discuss what the mid-21st century ‘Game of Thrones’ will really look like. What will be the legacy of social media and reality TV star turned US President Donald Trump? Who might replace Russia’s Vladimir Putin and China’s Xi Jinping – and how will they do it? What will happen to British politics? Or in an increasingly interconnected era, does real power simply lie elsewhere?

Panellists include:

Peter Apps – Reuters Global Affairs Columnist

John Raines – Former US Treasury and State Department official. Head of Poltiical Risk at IHS Markit.

Eleanor Beevor – Anthropologist and Writer, specialising in modern charismatic leaders

Alex Kokcharov – Russia Analyst at IHS Markit

Professor Kerry Brown – Head of Lau China Institute, King’s College London

The bar will be open throughout the evening.

6pm doors open, 7pm presentations from panellists, 7.45 pm interval, 8pm panel discussion/Q&A
